Andes Heliboarding is a Chilean heli-ski and heli-boarding operator founded by Jean-Alexandre “Beb” Echène, who pioneered the activity in Chile in 1991 and founded the country’s first heli-ski company in 2002. The operation runs private, semi-private and deluxe programs in the Central Andes from July to September, followed by tailored Patagonia programs in October and November.
Central Andes packages combine Santiago, Lodge Andino, vineyard hotels and safari-style lodging with an AS350 B3 helicopter and professionally qualified guides. The current catalogue also includes ski touring and Patagonia programs around Futangue, Barraco Lodge, Nomads of the Seas and La Datcha. Guests receive a safety briefing and are equipped with an avalanche transceiver, ABS airbag, shovel and probe; the team assesses weather, snowpack and terrain daily.
