Take a one-day heli-ski trip from Almaty into the Northern Tien Shan. The current starting price is EUR 1,100 per person and the published program duration is six hours. Winter operations use forest terrain in the Turgen Valley and the Kimasar and Butakovskoe gorges; late-spring and summer days move higher onto the Bogdanovich, Tuyuk-su and Dmitriev glaciers.

Skiing
Winter terrain ranges from roughly 1,600 to 3,500 metres above sea level, while glacier operations reach approximately 3,200–4,500 metres. The operator says as many as six descents may be possible in a day, but does not guarantee runs or vertical. Skiers and snowboarders need their own clothing and boots and should confirm the required ability with the guide.
